Job Purpose
:

The Education Sales Representative will be responsible for the promotion of Rauland Education products in the assigned territory of Lone Star Communications. The Education Sales Representative will devote full time and energy and to the best of their ability develop a deep customer base.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Secure project contracts in line with sales and profit obligations
  • Maintain a liaison relationship with owner/customer/user throughout the installation period and to assure maximum coordination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant personnel and decision makers at school districts in your market.
  • Collect and prepare site information, pics, to Engineering team for the development of a sales quote.
  • Prepare weekly sales and bid reports.
  • Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of all relevant equipment and systems.
  • Maintain the ability to perform demonstrations on all products within the Education Sales Representative’s market.
  • Assist in the collections of money owed as a result of Education Sales Representative’s sales.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.


Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Sales and Marketing initiative as required.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient Knowledge in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Education/IT/Healthcare industry a plus
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 3 years office related experience, or
  • Associate degree from an accredited college with 2 years working experience, or on the job training may substitute as equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales and/or customer service experience

  • Technological Competence: Ability to research multiple mediums for new products and technologies; thorough product knowledge; comprehensive understanding of NFPA 72 and 101 Code, Arkansas Fire Code, NEC 90; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and 360.
  • Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and invoices.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Personal Competencies: Integrity, outstanding communication and people skills, technological aptitude, orientation to details and organization, quick learner, team player, and “service provider” mentality.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries, as well as to potential inquiries to conduct due diligence.
  • Hours 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday; with nights, weekends and out of town travel as projects, training and sales conferences will be required.
